Vintage Little Lady {Layton} and {Leah}

Am I the only one who cannot believe it is July already 😱?!?! Even though I just can’t comprehend where the time has gone, I am over the moon excited that it is Back to School sewing time 🎉!

My first B2S sew is from Vinatge Little Lady. They will have an entire B2S collection releasing on Friday, July 3rd. From that collection, I had the pleasure of testing Layton and Leah.

Layton is a beautiful dress with the most perfect details. The ruffled neckline and tie cuff sleeve are a beautiful combination, but the detail that truly sold me is Layton’s 3” hem. It is a detail that will go unnoticed by most, but the vintage feel that it gives the pattern is just incredible! I chose to make my version out of Bee My Sunshine Cream Sunflower by Windham Fabrics.

Leah is a skirted overall that just screams B2S! The button placket that extends the length of the front and the strap hardware add a special touch that just gives the overalls so much character. My favorite part is the adjustable strap and the elastic back which allows for longer wear in hopes that it will last the entire school year! I used corduroy for the very first time and it was actually a breeze to sew!

If you decide to give Layton and Leah a try, be sure to use the #kgcsews so I can show your creations some love 🥰.

Enjoy!
